Ginger: the ally of Ramadan

The fast of Ramadan (from dawn to sunset) puts a strain on the body. Ginger is the ideal accompaniment for iftar and suhoor.

At suhoor (meal before dawn)

  • Long-lasting energy — caffeine-free thermogenesis to get you through the day
  • Anti-nausea — fasting can cause morning sickness
  • Hydration — diluted in water, helps to hydrate well

At iftar (breaking the fast)

  • Digestion — after 14-18 hours without eating, the stomach is sensitive; ginger gently activates it
  • Anti-bloating — prevents iftar digestive excesses
  • Blood sugar — stabilizes the glycemic peak when breaking the fast

Zero sugar = halal and healthy

Sweetened concentrates are permitted but counterproductive during Ramadan. Sugar at iftar causes a crash which worsens fatigue the next day.

INTI — ginger + turmeric + black pepper, zero sugar. The natural accompaniment of Ramadan.
