Ginger and cholesterol-ldl-reduce-naturally">cholesterol: scientific evidence

The ginger is often mentioned for its potential effects on cholesterol. Here's what the research actually says.

Available studies

Several clinical trials have explored the effect of ginger on blood lipids:

• Alizadeh-Navaei et al. (2008) : 3g of ginger/day for 45 days → significant reduction in total cholesterol, LDL and triglycerides in hyperlipidemic patients
• Arablou et al. (2014) : 1.6g of ginger/day in type 2 diabetics → improvement of the lipid profile
• Meta-analysis Afshari et al. (2019) : 6 studies, modest but significant effect on LDL reduction

Potential mechanisms

Gingerols and shogaols can:

• Inhibit cholesterol biosynthesis in the liver-hepatic-protection-nash">liver
• Increase expression of hepatic LDL receptors
• Reduce LDL oxidation (antioxidant effect)

Important Limitations

Studies are often short, with limited samples. The effects observed are modest and do not replace medical treatment. Ginger should not replace statins or medical monitoring for hypercholesterolemia.

INTI in an approach cardiovascular global

The turmeric in INTI also contributes to cardiovascular health (reduction of LDL oxidation). The ginger + combination turmeric + black pepper (piperine) in INTI offers anti-oxidant synergy and anti-inflammatory ginger which is part of a healthy lifestyle.

Important: Consult your doctor for any cholesterol problems. INTI is a natural dietary supplement, not a medicine.
