INTI aftercare: recovery and care for tattooed skin
INTI Post-Tattoo: Internal Anti-Inflammatory Recovery
A tattoo = controlled skin injury. Healing takes 2-4 weeks, including the first few days of acute inflammation. INTI can support recovery internally (never for direct application to the wound).
Healing: 4 Phases
- Hemostasis (immediate): cessation of bleeding
- Inflammation (days 1-3): neutrophils, activated NF-kB
- Proliferation (days 3-21): new tissues
- Maturation (weeks to months): remodeling
Properly managing the inflammatory phase = better final healing.
Internal INTI Support
- Curcumin + Piperine: modulation of cutaneous NF-kB (not total blockage — the inflammatory phase is necessary)
- [6]-gingerol: systemic skin antioxidant
- Lemon Vitamin C: collagen synthesis co-factor
- 1.19g sugar: no glycation to slow down healing
NEVER apply INTI directly to the tattoo
- Acidic lemon → irritates the wound
- Cayenne → burning sensation
- Risk of infection
External care: follow tattoo artist's recommendations (Bepanthen, etc.). INTI = internal use only.
