Ginger against acne and rosacea
Acne and rosacea are inflammatory skin conditions. Acne affects 85% of adolescents and 15% of adults. Rosacea affects 10% of adults. Internal treatment is more lasting than creams.
Skin Mechanisms
- Cutaneous NF-κB — inflammation is the driving force behind acne; NF-κB inhibition reduces lesions
- Sebum — curcumin regulates sebum production (sebocytes)
- Anti-bacterial — activity against Cutibacterium acnes (formerly Propionibacterium)
- Rosacea — NF-κB inhibition reduces erythema and papules
- Healing — accelerates lesion healing and reduces scars
- Gut-skin axis — gut health directly impacts the skin; mucosal protection
Sugar = acne
Sugar and high glycemic index foods increase IGF-1 → stimulates sebocytes → more sebum → more acne. Any sugary "skin health" drink is counterproductive.
INTI — ginger + turmeric + black pepper, zero sugar. Treat your skin from within.
